Hey friends, Do you like to travel in a Bus for long distance, by watching the outside site seeings.. may be in the day times..
Yes, I have travelled during my school days, for some 40 to 50 kms distances.. often.. Its really a very thrilling experiences in those days..
But now a days, since we don't have a time to travel for a long time, we used to go to our relations home (which is around 350 kms from our city) by our own car. and also we used to visit may be twice in a year..
Since we use our own transportation, we can choose our timings, any time we can start and we reach at any time.. we can stop at any place for our food and snacks.. and also since we have a kid, we suppose to stop on the way for his feeding and food..
What about you.. post your experience about the Bus travel..

blinkWhen it comes to traveling, I like it in a bus, in a train, in a plane, whatever way you can do it! There are challenges with a bus. Not all buses are nice, but some are. You just never know what you are going to get. Once I took a bus from London all the way to Edinburgh on vacation, and it broke down. Another time, I was on a bus in Hawaii, and it broke down in the middle of a lava field. Do I have bad luck with buses or what??w00t [AnythngArt]
Travel with bus is ok for me. In Sweden,it´s the cheapest way. You see lots of nature. But I don´t want to go by bus for too many hours. Also going by train is ok. But it´s very expensive in this country [Lucky_strike]
Hi. I have traveled a bit by bus. I don't think that traveling by bus for distance more than 200 kilometers is good. I feel like cramped and congested if I am in a bus for more then 3 hours. I would rather prefer a train for longer journeys. I have traveled a lot through the trains. I would rather say that I do like traveling and both bus and train are good to me. [coolmailraj]
I do normally enjoy travelling in a bus and enjoy the experience of the scenery, the weather and people that we meet. Unfortunatley my last experience, just 2 weeks ago was an unpleasent one for the simple reason that I got a seat right at the end and the bus was not one with good shock absorbers. It was a long journey of over 12 hours and ever time the bus went over some form of uneveness on the road I was thrown up a few inches from my seat. It was like a roller coaster ride. [alokn99]
Hello, chenni!I was an executive officer in government organisation and often i was required to go on tour to distant places, say around 200 km i was going either by jeep or by buses as there was no train communications to all the places.while going by buses or jeep i have enjoyed the natural sceneries in the forests and mountains.my home town is some 400 km away from the city where i am residing now and i prefer going to my native town bu bus and not train as the scenery en-rout is most enjoyable.thanx. [bbsr13]
I hate to travel in bus because bus is allergic for me I hardly travelled once or twice in bus I dont remember as well but that was really bad experience. [AshleyHasan]
I like traveling on a bus but If I'm with our kids, I'm more comfortable with our own transportation. [jenalforque]
During my childhood, I have traveled a lot by bus. Every day have to go by bus to school and come back. As I was staying with my uncle, when I go to meet my mum, I use to take bus. I was very comfortable with Bus traveling those days. But now if I travel by bus, i feel like vomiting. So now I try my best to avoid the bus traveling. [onlynaval]
You are welcome dear friend. [onlynaval]
oh yes, its such a cool experience, but it is only suitable for adults, if you young children it becomes difficult cos they tire fast, otrherwise bus travelling is great fun, the scenery from a height where u don have to see teh crowd in streets is fantstic [knightrider]
Yeah i like travelling in bus, chennai_b02.. its really an amazing experience when we go to far off places.. I enjoy those moments... Have a great day.. CHEERS!!! [akrockz]
Thanks for sharing.. [chennai_b02]
I like doing it since I like adventure and traveling. I have had an experience where I rode in a bus for 9 hours straight. It was a bit tiring but I was all in all fulfilled upon seeing the beautiful sceneries all over the place. It's fulfilling and very adventurous. [nengs10]
I like travelling only in train, in case if I do not get any reservation in Train then I prefer to go by Bus. I always prefer AC Volvo Bus. It atleast makes me comfortable from the outer pollution and keeps me fresh. [ravusri1]
I think the buses in all parts of our country are not so comfortable. from childhood very frankly speaking, I am not fond of bus. i like train rather. its always crowded and slow. at time when a long journey, we may have taken bus.But i rather travel by train or air. [subha12]
Travelling by bas for a long distance is boring if you are alone. If you have a friend or someone that's ok. You have to reach the station early. But when you are arrive early the bus depart late. If you get to sit besides a male passenger, he would tilt his head on your shoulder (on purpose?) when he is asleep. Or if the person is fat, he/she would occupy 3/4 of the seat. If the person snores, you will have sleepless night...There many more reasons why I don't like to travel by bus for a long distance. Can you think the rest? [inia_54]
it's okey.but if let me choose between bus and train,i will prefer latter.it's more comfortable.you are right, since we have our buses,we can stop at any different place and share our food or snacks....blue sky, green grass, sunset and sunrise....it's wonderful. i have experience about the bus travel such as last time i went to hongkong,i travel by bus.it's about 180km from our city, canton.i don't see any wonderful views during our trip.there're no beautiful spot at both side of the expressway. it's just the color, maybe the bus drive too fast.... [xialinye]
Dear friend, I do like to travel in buses when I was in school I tried by best to sit at the windows. I do like to watch the views outside. Also may be the other passengers and what they are doing, those singing people in bus for money. Later when I grew up I wanted to travel in cars and now I rarely travel in buses. But I do like to travel if I get a proper seat. One of main aspect I have look is to care about the other passengers like we may not be able to stop were we want, we cannot close the windows so on. But now I would like to travel in luxury buses which provide much privacy. lol [SHAMRACK]
It is always a good experience for me when I travel in a big bus to my village at the end of each month. It is airconditioned and mush luxurious. It moves so fast on the motorway that I enjoy this journey.I also sleep in it b/c it moves during night. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to reach a city near my village. Then i change this bus to reach my destination........... [awapak]
One thing about a bus is that it can be very nice to see the country side, however I have to say right now that I did that a couple times and I found it cramped, and the layovers at a bus stop were worse than that of an airplane. I do know that riding in a bus is usually cheaper than flying though.... There are worse ways to travel than to travel by a bus. Mooch [oneandonemakesix]
Not really.Buses in my homeland always be very crowded.I have no mood to look at the senery but I still have to take it sometimes because it is very cheap.Travelling by bus really isn't a good memory to me. [MizukiZHR]
I am very keen on traveling and train is my favorite form of transportation. I quite like to travel by bus if a train service is not available. When I am on a bus I like to look out of the window at the scenery. I love to see coastal views and countryside areas. I like to see lovely architecture and local people living their daily lives. I can happily travel all day or a whole night on a bus. But I wouldn't feel happy on a bus journey of more than about 12 hours. Often the seats are uncomfortable and there is little leg room on a bus. In Australia by law buses must have rest stops after so many hours traveling. The bus stopped off at 4am and everyone was sleepy. On a night bus I was asleep and then woken up by a man shouting to the driver. He had been the only passenger awake. All the luggage had fallen out on to the highway! The driver had to go back to retrieve it. When I was in Samoa I noticed that the local bus was getting more and more passengers on board. People began sitting on each others laps! It was really funny to see this. Someone sat on my backpack so I arrived with fruit juice dripping all over the place. In Fiji I was on a local bus when it began to rain so the bus driver put down the plastic covers for the open windows so the passengers wouldn't get wet. [maximax8]

I used to travel alot by bus years back. Now however long distance it may be we always go by car or take the train.Recently we went for a tour to Malaysia,Singapore and Thailand. They took us from Malaysia to Singapore by bus. That was one ungorfettable journey.I just loved it.The bus ofcourse was very comfortable and travelling across the country by bus during the day was great. That way i got to see the lovely sights one would miss if i had to take a flight. [biggerb]
Hi I used to travel in bus while I was a student. Now I am using either my own vehecle or train for long distance travel. But I like to travel by bus especially in the morning and evening when it is not very hot out side, watching the life outside, the nature etc. [padmameera]
I don't drive so I have to rely on friends, family or public transportation. Whenever I can I take the train. I can look out the window to see everything, I am not crammed into a seat next to someone tha tis yelling on their cell or snoring. Yes I may get stuck next to someone that does this but they arent only 2 inches from my face. When I was away at school I loved taking the bus the 2 hours home. That was mainly because there were a bunch of us that were going to the same place so we made the trip fun. Over the past few years I have grown to really dislike bus trips. New drivers are clueless and get lost even when we are telling them the correct way to go. Some of the people are just down right rude by not returning to the bus when we need to leave and we end up having to wait for them which always makes the trip longer. [razcal2267]
This probably makes me sound really odd but i don't like travelling on the bus because i don't like the thought of all the people that have been on it before me. For example if the person who sat in the seat before me was a young child and they wet themselves, has the seat been properly cleaned or am i sitting in dried urine!? I have probably spent far too much time thinking about this but it really bothers me and avoid going on trains and buses as far as possible! It might be cheaper than using my car but at least i know my car is clean and germ free! [Munchkin547]
I have had no problem with busses I really like them expecially with friends. But even by your self they are very fun. There is the risk of them breaking down but its rare. I do like the train to but i like the bust way better. Its also pretty quick and on time so it will get you to were you want to go. SO take the bus! [dabest451]
i use travel by bus because my college were 350 km from home. I quite enjoy while using travel bus and relaxing. now i really miss that enjoyment time. [Johar_ahmad]
but if all have the idea that you have, then a lot of money and fuel will be wasted .especially ,in this period of fuel shortage. but you can afford to do that if you have an electric car which is powered by electric motors and batteries. [tomkite]
With the cost of gasoline these days - I started riding the bus to go where I needed to go. It is much cheaper and like you said - you can watch the scenery. There are a lot more that you can see when you are just a passenger. When you are the driver - your viewing is concentrated on the road and you miss a lot of nice scenery. Bus riders are now increasing because of cost of gasoline. I am going to ride the bus regularly - as I now like it better, because I can see more scenery and it is much cheaper than driving my own car. [USNavyChief]

Ya ,I like traveling by bus provided the condition of the bus and the road is good enough and the journey itself is a nice experience . Especially , a bus ride through the misty mountains with a picturesque landscape is what I dream for . But I hate riding a bus in a big city full of noise and pollution . Having a car of your own is always going to help you in a long journey but while you are traveling in a city try to use a public transport system to check the pollution level . More car means more pollution . [sodraja]
Travel by Bus! Gush - the last time I was in a bus was a funny experience. I was traveling with my partner in Thailand last year. We were in Phuket and we have to go to Krabi by bus. Out of adventure we thought it would be great to see the country side along the way. When we got to the station it was 1pm and we realised we forgot lunch. So we went up to the bus and dropped our bags in. And i look around to spot some stores to buy some biscuits or snacks. I decided to get down from the bus on my own and left my partner to secure our seats while I buy some food for the trip. When I got back the bus was gone. So, I ran to the ticket station and asked and they told me the bus left. So, I immediately called my partners mobile phone, but then I realized his phone and his wallet was in my bag!!!! One more thing - he doesnt speak English - if he does it would only be hi and bye! So, you can imagine our situation. So, I took the plate no. of the bus and hired a taxi to catch up with the bus! I had to pay 200 Thai Batt for it. Travel in a Bus? - No way! [jenyenh]
actually, i like to travel about 90-100 kms often by bus. i like one point to point travel near my area which i like most. i can travel by train as it takes only 1.5hrs, but if i travel by bus it takes 2.15hrs. this is the fact, but i like to travel in bus only rather than to travel by train. but i dont like travelling by bus above 200 kms. as its very boring. and i cant able to sit for that much time to travel those kms. [ramhoneywell]
It could be excellent travelling in bus atimes but if the journey is too long, you could get tried of it all. Another thing that determines how pleasant travelling by bus could be is the time of the day and the condition of the road.Have a nice day.drool [alpha7]
chennai hi oh yes I love to travelin a bus, you get to see so much of the country and people are usaually really friendly too.I have traveled from arizona to South dAkota' on the bus and its a lot of fun going across the US that way. youget to see allthe smalltowns and the fields and forests and everything that makes up America. lol [Hatley]
I have traveled by bus. But not for a long time. I didn't care for it. It was uncomfortable. It was too crowded. I prefer to go by car. [ersmommy1]
hi friend: Now, in my op0inion,i prefer go to some place by my own transporattion.because i am feel bad in my head if i take a bus to travel a long distance.if i really need to go fuether, for instance, another city,i will go to by train.thus, i will feel better.I think you should understand my meaning.happy. have a good day. [successlog]
Before I had a car,I took the bus everywhere, and since getting a Car,I hardly ever use it anymore...But the bus is still there when the car is giving Me trouble! I was travelling to the US last Year, and my car's engine gave out on the way to the airport! The car was over 10 years old,and wouldn't have been worth fixing...I had to pay to have it taken off the motorway, then got a taxi to the airport, and I made my flight...coming back,I got the bus home! it took a few hours longer..3 buses! my current car was trouble free until this past week, developing a coolant problem..I was to travel to Dublin (150 miles) and decided to go by bus rsther than risk it breaking down..it worked out fine! a Bus stop outside my house took me to town, where I got an intercity bus to Dublin Airport...an Airport link bus took me to central Dublin and where I was going..and I made the return trip next day in time to get ready for work that evening! [ShepherdSpy]
I have been used to commuting by bus back home in the Philippines. But it sure is quite different here in Malaysia. The buses take so long, like 30-45 minutes before it arrives in my area. I mean, every 30-45 minutes since this is like a local bus. It's kinda frustrating. But sometimes when I'm in the bus already, I like to look at the sights and imagining spending time with my boyfriend while listening to some music on my iPod. So it can be a pleasant and unpleasant experience for me sometimes. [joliefille]
Traveling could be fun depending were you are going and how long the trip is.If your sight seeing then time could really fly.Once I was on a trip from Chicago to Houston,Texas which is about a two day drive. The sights were pretty amazing and time flew. We made a few stops for food and rest, but overall i rather take the plane.... [YeezyJC]
From my house to university, I need to take 3 buses. Therefore, I am used to traveling by bus. I really like to travel by bus especially when my love is by my side or when there is a good music in the bus happy [excellence7]
when i was a kid i didn't like to travel by bus for long distances coz i had the habit of vomiting. But now i don't have any such problems and i can manage a big bus journey! But bus is not my favorite mode of transport, i use it only if there is no other means of transportation available. Train is my favorite mode of transport for long distances. [earncommunity]

I ride the bus all of the time. Mostly because I don't have my liscence yet, haha. If somewhere is too long for walking distance, then I will catch a bus to get where I need to go. :D [powerbrokenape]
It depends on. If it's for about 5 hours, then it's alright. However, if I have to spend a whole night to travel in a bus, it is suffering. I love China [youless]
You know what, I just tried once to travel though bus, at first I thought I might not enjoy it since I always get dizzy easily but then I did actually enjoy it. It happen when me and my friend visit my another friend's house at her province. I enjoyed the travel so much that until now I still have my bus ticket as a remembrance. [lossforredwords]
Bus is okay for me, but not that fond though. I mean, if there are other transportation other than bus to used I would gladly ride it. Bus sometimes make me sick, I feel nauseous with the smell of the aircon sometimes. But I agree with you, it was quite jolly to travel in a bus along the province and sightseeing. There's enjoyment in traveling as well with your friends. [kylie_quistis]
Yes,many times. We don't have our own car that's why we always travel on bus. Some times I'm bored because of a long distance travel. [reckon21]
I used to like to travel in Bus..thumbdown... But now after a lot of traveling in buses from my house to college (40 kms) for about 4 years... I dont like it anymore... Now i have a bike... and like to ride on my bike...happy... But for very long distances i would prefer trains than buses.. its difficult to sit at one place for such long journeys....^_^ [venkygec]
