I remember after my graduation, my parents, uncle and aunt and I had a travel together. That's a long time. We traveled for about 3 months and we had been to many places in our country. That's a wonderful experience. Today I just haven't the vacation for so long time, sighing...

The longest time I have travelled is 5 weeks, when I put my tent and my mountain bike in the back of my car and I travelled up to Scotland, camping and touring, it was a wonderful experience, I travelleed all the way up the west coast right to the top then across and back down the east coast, making lots of stops en route to beautiful places full of scenery, mountains, lochs, countryside, it was a wonderful adventure and experience, I love being able to travel alone, so much more freedom! I tried to live in the tent in a beach for one night. That's very interesting and we didn't have to worry about anything. But at that night the there was heavy wind, and I was afraid our tent would be blown awaylol [youless]

Good evening, youless. It is really a very long time to travel for three months. I have to say that I have had such an experience for that long, but I remember that our family went to my aunt's home for a few Spring Festivals when I was a child. It was about half a month. Right now I still miss the days when we were spending the wonderful days at my aunt's, whose home is in the country. Now my aunt is very old in her eighties and she is not bent in the back. Last summer my elder brother, my mother, my wife and I went together to see my aunt who was living with my cousin in the country for only one night. We could have spent a few more days, but we had to leave for my another cousin whose daughter passed the college entrance examination and we were invited to drive all the way to the city where they are located, Ji'an City for a grand dinner. So it was in fact two days' visit to my aunt and my cousins. Though it was only two days, I was very happy already because it was so long a time that we had not seen each other. It was almost more than a decade, as we live in different cities and most importantly, we live and work in different cities. This trip will leave me a lifelong memory so long as I live. West or east, home is the best. I know how important the hometown means to Chinese. I think I am very lucky because Guangzhou is already my hometown. I was born and grow up here. [youless]
My longest trip was from February 1993 to April 1994 so that was just a bit more than a year, I traveled around the world and it was a wonderful journey that I will never forget. My route was London-Los Angeles-Hawaii-Fiji-Sydney-Adelaide-Cairns-Darwin- Singapore-London. Now I have dogs and young son I am unlikely to go on another trip quite as long as that. I usually travel for two weeks on one trip. I therefore have to explore quickly seeing as many places as possible. I hope you go traveling again soon my friend Youless. It's wonderful that you got to spend that much time traveling, particularly getting to see places in your own country. So often people want to visit other places and miss out on great experiences at home. The longest trip I ever took was about 15 days. [6precious102]

the longest I have been away from home was during a five month trip to Arizona that I took last year. My husband is currently working in Az, but he will be retiring in a few months, and coming to Canada to stay up here. For someone like me who has never lived anywhere else in my life, 5 months was a really long time. [danishcanadian]

The longest time i had to travel by plane was 48 hours... and that was because i had to change planes 4 times... so that means 4 stop overs... it was so tiring... but i least i got the chance to go to different countries... By bus... it was for 24 hours... that was like the worst 24 hours of my life... because it was after a typhoon hit my country... and my grandmother died... so my mother and i went to her hometown... which was in another island... well it was worth it... because the place was beautiful... and we got to see my grandmother to her final resting place... The longest time I ever been oversea is on my honeymoon in Europe. Lots of fun things to see and do. Took so many pictures too. 3months of traveling is a very long journey for you and your whole clan! As I browse in to your profile I found out that you are in China so I thought that you been sight seeing all the wonderful views from your country before. I have experienced to travel a lot before but it only takes 36 hours. That is the longest by land travel I have experienced in my whole life so far. This is from Davao to Naga City in the Philippines. It was very memorable to me and my friends although very tired after it. [kaguvkov]

wow, three months w00t that's a long trip! my longest time to have a travel is about 2 weeks. it happened last year. i with 4 friends of mine went to bali (an island which is well known for having many beautiful tourist places in my country). we visit some places there. after that we proceed to the next island named lombok. we go there as we planed to climb mt. rinjani; its top is located about 3,700 meters above sea level. that's really nice though tiring trip. it took four days to climb to the top and return. it was a very steep zigzag mountain climb. it took us longer time than expected because we were not habitual mountain climbers. to be safe each of us had hired a mountain climber porter who would carry our luggage. these mountain climber porters were very stout and strong, and they know well the mountain. near by the top, there is a vast lake, called lake segara anakan (means a small ocean). it's very beautiful. near by the lake there is a hot spring where we can take a bath and swim. it's very enjoyable to take a bath in the warm water as the place is extremely cold. there are many friendly apes. if we give them food, they will take it from our hand. very nice. but beware, if we don't give them, they will trespass our tends and steal our food. anyway, we enjoyed the trip so much and i would like to do that again. Hi youless, the longest travel I had had was only three weeks. My husband and I had enjoyed our 3 china trips in different successive years from 2001 to 2003. We spent 3 weeks for every visit. We spent most of our vacation in the tourist sites in modern city Shanghai and Huang Shan City during our first china trip. The second trip we visited Guangzhou and the attractive tourist sites around. I loved the Detian Waterfalls very much. The natural landscapes there were really fascinating. There were soap operas related to tea and wine had taken these wonderful waterfalls and the sceneries there as background. I did visit the Kuang Dong famous martial art master Huang Fei Hong Memorial Meseum in Fu Shang city, Yue Xiu recreation park and Bai Yun Mountain and many other sites as well. I could hardly forget the most delicious dish, zhu jiao cu (vinegar ginger trotter) I had ever tasted before in an local market food stall there. What we missed the most was the famous Cantonese Opera Show which is my husband most favorite. All the tickets were sold out when we reached the cinema there. The last trip was the Si Chuan tour and Yuan Nang tour. You are totally right youless, Detian Waterfalls is located in Guangxi Province. We actually from Zhang Jia Jie via Gui Ling to Ning Nan, and from there we headed to the waterfalls. But it was rather sad that during winter season the waterfall was not so grand and forceful as it was less water during the season. I could imagine that how wonderful the waterfall is if it's during the robust summer. After visiting the wonderful waterfalls we then traveled to Guangzhou. I think you are quite glad to visit this famous nature wonder if you have an opportunity. Thanks for suggesting the link. Yeah, both my husband and I understand Chinese and we would try to visit the recommended links later on. My hubby has keen interest on these aspects especially concerning historical landscapes in your country. Wow, three months is a great length of time to travel. I have always wanted to do this, but I never seem to be able to take that much time off from work. I'm glad you had a great time. For leisure, The longest vacation I took was to Europe for two weeks, however, I used to travel for work, and the longest I was gone for that length of time was almost two months on a trip to California. I think the longest was when my parents and I went to New-Brunswick.. For going was not so horrible. But we finally decide before the end of the week to come back at home because the weather was not good. We start early in morining to comes back at nigth. It took 12 hours I think to comes back by car.. SO long comes back, i eas really tired and begin to not be confortable sit in the car loll I was so haste to arrive. [julie85]
