Do you prefer the mountains or the beach? I prefer the beach but like the mountains too.

I would choose hotel in the mountain because I haven't try it yet, even just to imagine it since I don't know if it ever come true since I am living in the city. But just closing my eyes, I feel the wind blowing while I walk, I can see flowers around me while my dog run around chasing butterflies (yes, hotel where I stayed allows pet, power of imagination)... I love hearing the sound of the ocean but between these two choices, I'd pick a hotel in the mountains. Now if I could sleep in the mountains and go down the see the ocean during the daytime, I could have the best of both worlds! :-) One of my favorite sights is seeing the sun coming up over the Atlantic. This is a hard one because I love them both. Maybe the mountains in the summertime (as long as it's a high elevation) to escape the heat and the beach in the wintertime because I wouldn't have to worry about the extreme heat! I suppose the heat's usually not TOO bad at the beach, but it's usually not as nice as up in the mountains. [Poison_Girl]

actually i like mountains a lot so i would like to stay in a hotel which can give me a nice view of the mountains. beahces are good. but they become boring after sometime. but mountains have a lot of beauty and t refreshes from time to time. so you can enjoy the natural beauty a lot [amitavroy]

I prefer the mountains. I'm not a big beach person and on top of that I live near them. I don't bother with going to them either. The mountains though I think are beautiful and I've always loved visiting them. They just seem so peaceful and relaxing to me. The fresh air from being at them is also nice instead of smelling the fish and sea. [emeraldisle]
There is no doubt about that the mountains are very peaceful and a great place to get away from the busy city life. It is refreshing and enjoy hiking through the mountains and seeing the scenery below. [kgwat70]
I would definitely prefer the beach. I hate the cold weather, and actually moved to another state to get away from snow. I would rather burn to death than freeze to death. I can handle a beach with sand, sun, and fun times. But being in the cold is something I can't stand. My mom loves the mountains, but I definitely prefer the beach. [AdTe23]

Don't get me wrong,I love the beach if it were only for a couple of hours ,but If I'm gonna be long enough where I would have to stay at a hotel,I would definatley chose the mountains.they are much more beautiful and peaceful and I wouldn't have to worry about people walking-or should I say jiggling- aound with skimpy bating suits that don't fit.lol! Wow, this discussion was started 5 months ago and I wasn't a member yet :-D Anyway, I was gonna say a hotel by the beach but after my experience in Phuket in December 2004 I got paranoid. The beach is nice and a great place to go for fun. But the mountain is perfect for quiet moments and trekking. [Jemina]
I would probably really like to go camping in the mountains or even in the desert rather than stay in a hotel. But, hotels are nice, especially when the weather's bad. I like the beach, but I'm really not a beach person and most beach areas that I've been to are very noisy and full of people. I think if you like to socialize and party, staying at or on the beach would be better for you. But, for me, I like the quietness of the country. [desertdarlene]
Hi kgwat, This is quote hard for me since I grew up in a place where I consider a mountain but also we are close to ocean..LOL! But, answering your question, I will be choosing near the beach, I love swimming and boating and this will be a great venue for me for my energy..LOL! [checapricorn]
