Travelling by plane is more faster than by boat but for an adventure i would like to travel by boat.I love to see the ocean ,the different fishes that are free to swim anywhere and i love to hear the waves that hits the boat.During night time we could see the ocean that is very peaceful and calm which gives peace to our mind too.So which do you prefer?Drop a line please....

If I want a quick trip, I would use a plane. As for cruising and to have a leveled view of the the world's geography, I would choose a boat. I would definitely enjoy a slow yet fascinating trip, at least I could feast my eyes on some awesome views. [raijin]

Id love to go on a cruise to some exotic locations. Those cruise ships are huge and full of fun it would be heaven. But I love the outdoors and boating so planes are nothing to me. Who wants to be cramped next to someone you dont know. [minnie_98214]

I would definitely travel by boat or a big ship.But if I'm in a hurry I would prefer traveling by plane. Since I was a kid I've always traveled by sea because I grew up with my grandparents and every summer they would let me stay in my parents house.At first I got sea sick, but when I got used to it and I grew a little older, I've come to love traveling by ships. I think I've almost been in every ship that travels from Bacolod-Manila.The view is breath taking and you have a lot of time to take it all in.What I would usually do is go to the sun deck and read a book with my headphones on.It's very relaxing and I feel like I'm living in Neverland.hehe [TifaLockhart]

I think I would rather travel by air plane also. It is alot faster and I would feel much safer than being out in the open waters like that. I would love to see the ocean also but I think it would make me sea sick after a while. I prefer the ocean alot more for viewing and pleasure, but I am so scared of all of the open water and the huge waves that may overtake me. [stephcjh]

When the ocean is calm and the ship is comfortable it can be a delight to travel by sea. It is especially nice when there are views over to tropical islands like in the Maldives. I once sailed from the UK to the Netherlands on a ferry that had a swimming pool on it. During the night I slept in a bunk in a cabin without a window. I think it would have been nicer but far more expensive to have a view of the outside. When I traveled from the UK to Ireland the sea was very rough indeed and the boat traveled slowly and almost everyone was being sea sick. When it arrived all further sailings that day were canceled. So I know that it is only fun to travel by ship when the sea is gentle and the weather is warm and not too wet. Plane travel is quick and it can make it possible to go from the UK to New Zealand in 24 hours, whilst by ship it might take more than six weeks. I think that airline seats can be uncomfortable and often legroom is cramped. Many people are in a plane and the trolley service can make walking around on the plane difficult. I don't enjoy flying in the white clouds but I do love it when the plane flies low so I can see the scenery. I have seen the pyramids and the islands of the Maldives from my airline seat. Plane is my choice of traveling a long distance but I love trains most of all. I would say I only like to sail in fair weather so traveling by ship is less favorable to me than traveling by bus. 1st choice train 2nd choice bus 3rd choice plane for a long distance 4th choice ship [maximax8]

I do preffer travel by boat any time. When I came to USA several years ago frm Ueorope took a boat and the journey took over 2 weeks. It was fantastic, the food, the nghtly midnight buffet, it was unbelievable good time and good journey. Now plane is the answer. [coolguy01]

I have travelled by car, by bus, by boat and by plane, but I think that I prefer travelling by plane best as it is fastest and I could have a very good view of the beautiful sky, which makes me feel that I am high up above the ground in the sky to enjoy the beauty of boundness of the sky and being close to the sky. I love the feeling unconditionally. I have already travelled by plane twice and I am looking forward to a third time though it is much more expensive to travel by plane. I would prefer to travel by plane. Although I'm fascinated about the ocean and the creatures within I do have a phobia about the ocean and probably wouldn't enjoy the journey. I have been on a ferry many times to France and always end up feeling sick! I don't seem to have that problem when I fly and it gets me to my destination that much faster. [podqueen]

Definitely travel by boat. There is much more to experience on a cruise than on a plane. The open waters, the dining, the live music and performances, the activities and so on. Your vacation may be to visit an island or another country, but I think you would find that the most enjoyment during the vacation was probably the time you spent cruising the ocean. I don't like either one! Boats make me sick to my stomach. I get really nervous and usually sick on planes too. But when I have to choose between the two I go wit the planes. I have tried all kinds of motion sickness remedies and non work for me. I much prefer to be sick on a plane and have found it is usually not as bad on a plane as it is on a boat. [emma412]

since I have not so many days for vacation (only 2 weeks every summer), if I have to go to a city I'd prefer going by plane even if my husband doesn't like it and become nervous only thinking about it..... last year we had a cruise on the Mediterranean sea and we had a lot of fan... I would travel by boat if i have time. Even though plane can be very fast but when compared to boat, it's less exciting, less romantic. Speaking of excitement, ocean is just the place that is not fully discovered or understood by human beings, there're still many things that we treat as amazing things. I have never traveled by ship for a long journey before. I had traveled many times by plane and I only feel excited and enjoy for the first few times only. From what you had mentioned in the discussion I feel really nice to travel by boat as we could hear the waves, see the fishes and enjoy the tranquility of the peaceful ocean during the nighttime. I travel by whatever means my journey may require. As a traveler, I enjoy the journey as much, if not more, than the destination. I have traveled by plane, train, boat, bus ... hydrofoil and by ... donkey, elephant, horse, foot and thumb. Plus cars, bicycles, scooters, aerial trams and Hawg! Some may say by plane, which I guess most folks think of a "jet", but have you ever flown in a tiny plane? A prop-plane with less than ten seats? How about only two seats??? I don't get sea-sick, or air-sick, and I love sailing. I don't do the 7-day cruise thing, but I have been on over-night boats, large boats with hundreds of cabins and passengers. I have also been on teeny-tiny boats, 24ft (8mt) plywood boats that carried a dozen passengers across a hundred miles of open ocean. What can I say ... travel, by whatever means the journey asks of you! cool I have an extensive travel history. My journeys have taken me to over 40 wonderful countries. I would choose traveling by plane because it is much faster and less stress. But the problem is it is much more expensive compare to the boat. Its is also nice to take the boat if you are traveling with especial someone. [jason_co]

hello gieportlandor i have been on an airplane many times before in my lifetime, but i do not like to fly at all. i usually wind up getting air sick. lol shew, not funny, but i just do not like airplanes because of the fear factor that is associated with them crashing or something like that. i think that there has been less boat crashes than that there has been airplane wrecks or crashes. you know? and i have never been on a cruise boat before and i would love to go on a cruise to anywhere some time before that i die. lol i would love to cruise to the carribean islands sometime, i bet that it is so beautiful there. also, i have never been to Hawaii, i would love to go to Hawaii via cruise boat sometime as well. i have been deep sea fishing once in my life and i will never go deep sea fishing again! ewww, the smell of it, i can still remember that fish smell. i will not ever go deep sea fishing again in my life. have a beautiful evening. i have done both and love them just the same even though taking a cruise is a great way to see your surroundings and a great way to relax as you get to your destination.A plane is the fastest way to get to where you are going and for me is very relaxing because i love the feel that you get when you are flying. But for me the best way to travel is by train. Not only do you get to see different states and sceneries it is also very comfortable and relaxing. My personal favorite is to drive myself. That way if i want to stop somewheres new I can. [foundmyangel]

Before three years ago I would have picked by boat. I thought if I were to go on a plane, it would crash. but I did fly in 2005 and my Karma didn't cause a crash so I would pick a plane.I like seeing the ocean but I never been on the water. I guess a "Love Boat" type of cruise where you don't have to see the water would be okay .But to travel on the water in a smaller boat...I don't think so. By plane, I could watch a movie on the plane and be there.I guess the best way for me to travel is by train. You are on the ground. You get to see the country. It is wonderful. You get a seat that has is like an airplane but you have more room. The windows are huge so you can see the sights. And you can feel the train run on the tracks.It feels great to me.That's the one thing I missed flying, the vibrations from either wheels or train tracks. In fact I prefer the turbulence in the air than feeling nothing.I the last train ride I had there was a ining car. So instead of having to eat at your seat like on the plane, there is a dining car and it has tables,I hope you get to take a trio by train. [sarahruthbeth22]

This is a tough one-frankly if I had my way, i would have loved to be travelling on foot-The last time I travelled to Bucharest, i thought I would never come back alive-it was so scary travelling above weather-but I did travel safely, although i never ever looked out of the window of the plane-I think i missed quite a lot, but really I fear both the ship and the plane! Since I am scared of big waters, I would rather travel by plane. I also find it faster. However, I do want to experience going on a cruise soon.
